Mag. Brent A. Ecenbarger
Brent A. Ecenbarger is a Magistrate in the Allen Circuit Court assigned to the IV-D Court.
Magistrate Ecenbarger is a native of Fort Wayne and a graduate of Indiana University with a degree in Kinesiology (2006). He graduated from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2010 and received a master’s degree the same year. Following his graduation from law school, Ecenbarger joined the Noble County Prosecutor’s Office where he worked as a Deputy Prosecutor handling misdemeanor, felony and juvenile cases from 2010 to 2014. Ecenbarger then joined the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office as a Deputy Prosecutor from 2014 to 2020, with a focus on prosecuting crimes perpetrated against children, before working as an Assistant United States Attorney for the United States Attorney’s Office from 2020 to 2023.
Ecenbarger was sworn in as a Circuit Court Magistrate on September 8, 2023.
